Pirate Party Manifesto Launched

Yep, the Pirate Party Manifesto is up. And there is quite a lot to love, too.

  • We will forbid third parties from intercepting or monitoring communication traffic
  • We will not allow government censorship of the internet
  • We will require the BBC to release all their content under a Creative Commons licence.
  • Obviously The Pirate Party will enjoy limited — if any — electoral success, but it remains important that the demands of monopoly rights holders are challenged and the issue debated.

On the subject of the Digital Economy Bill, respect, love and kudos to Tom Watson MP, who continues to fight the good fight and bring some intelligence to the debate in parliament.
